OAK HARDWOOD MATS
European Oak, scientifically known as Quercus Petraea, is a hardwood species native to Eastern Europe. It is renowned in Europe for its high density, strength, and tight grain structure, making it suitable for heavy-duty applications.
Oak is widely available throughout Europe, where it is commonly harvested from sustainably managed forests. Our sawmills are all TLV legally approved operations, were their responsible sourcing practices ensure the continued availability for our crane mat production.
Oak is considered a premium hardwood, its superior qualities to other European hardwoods justifies its cost for demanding applications like crane mats. Compared to our african hardwood species, Oak provides economic and cost benefits, as well as shorter lead times for sales enquiries.
