BEECH HARDWOOD MATS

European Beech, scientifically known as Fagus Sylvatica, is a hardwood species native to Eastern Europe.

Beech is widely available throughout Europe, where it is commonly harvested from sustainably managed forests. Our sawmills are all TLV legally approved operations, were their responsible sourcing practices ensure the continued availability for our crane mat production.

Beech is considered a cost effective hardwood, as its resistance and durability does not perform as strongly compared to our other species. Beech has been proven to be ideal for much larger quantity jobs where kilometres of mats are required; such as offshore wind facilities, temporary roadways and pipelines.
